Our story
Established in 2021, Happytails Dog Boarding is based at our family home in the heart of Kent. Husband and wife team, Colin and Elodie Sawyer, turned Elodie's lifelong dream into reality after retiring from their 29-year-old Publishing Company. Growing up with dogs and animals in South Africa, Elodie has always been extremely passionate about animal welfare. Our goal is to create a home away from home where dogs feel loved, safe, and happy.
Our approach
We understand that leaving your beloved dog can be stressful. That's why we strive to provide a comfortable and stimulating environment with usual household sounds like radios and TV's. We tailor routines to match what your dogs are used to at home. Owners are welcome to bring beds, soft furnishings, clothing items, toys, and teddies to help their dogs feel secure. We also offer added extras like bath and blow dry before home time. Living in our own family Cottage surrounded by private land, which is superb for dog-walking.

Our ultimate goal is to create a place where we would be happy to leave our own pets – a place that dogs will always want to come back to!
